In this episode of the Unstoppable Live Show, I had the pleasure of talking with Dr. Natalie Sampson about how to accomplish big goals. Dr. Natalie is a fitness entrepreneur, spiritual coach, and public speaker. She has a wealth of experience in helping people achieve their goals and shared some great tips with us on how to do the same.
1. Set realistic goals
The first step to achieving any goal is to set realistic goals. This means setting goals that are challenging but possible. If you set your sights too high, you're more likely to get discouraged and give up.
To set realistic goals, start by brainstorming everything you want to achieve. Once you have a list, narrow it down to the top three or four goals that are most important to you. Then, break each goal down into smaller, more manageable steps.
2. Create a plan
Once you have your goals set, it's time to create a plan. This plan should include the steps you need to take to achieve your goals and a timeline for when you want to achieve them.
Your plan should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (S.M.A.R.T.). For example, if you want to start a business, your plan might include the following steps:
- Research your industry and target market
- Develop a business plan
- Get funding
- Launch your business
- Grow your business
You can also create a timeline for when you want to achieve each step. For example, you should complete your business plan within six months and launch your business within a year. My Build a Six-Figure Business NOW™ course can help you achieve this!
3. Take action
Once you have your plan in place, it's time to take action. This means working on your goals and moving closer to them.
It's important to be consistent with your actions and not to give up easily. There will be times when you feel discouraged, but it's important to keep going. Remember why you set this goal in the first place, and use that as motivation to keep going.
4. Stay focused
It's easy to get distracted when working towards a big goal. There will be times when you're tempted to give up or to focus on something else. But it's important to stay focused on your goal and not let anything get in your way.
One way to stay focused is to create a vision board. This board lets you post pictures, quotes, and other things representing your goal. Looking at your vision board regularly will help you to stay motivated and focused on your goal.
5. Don't be afraid to ask for help
Achieving big goals is hard work, and asking for help along the way is okay. There are people who believe in you and want to help you succeed.
If you're stuck, don't hesitate to contact a friend, family member, or mentor for support. They can help you brainstorm solutions to problems, provide encouragement, and keep you accountable.
