Are you aware of every problem that exists inside of you and your business? Do you know that there are problems that exist that you have no knowledge of? You may believe you have your mindset, marketing, messaging, pricing, and branding all the way together. You may even believe that the systems and strategies that you have set up are set up correctly and you are serving your clients in the most effective and efficient way.
Here are questions that you can ask yourself.
- Are there processes in your business that take too long?
- Do you have situations where customers are unhappy?
- Are you meeting all of your customer’s needs?
- Do your customers ever get frustrated or do you get frustrated with how things are currently set up?
- Do you know if you are leaving money on the table because of a problem that exists that you do not know about?
- Have you figured out that something is wrong, but you have no idea what it is?
Sometimes problems are clearly visible for you to see; there are times when the issues that exist are hidden and keeping you and your company from being great. This is the reason that I implemented the Business Audit. This audit helps my team and I look deep inside of your business, to be able to create business ideas that solve the existing hidden problems. The SWOT Analysis is an important tool used in the Audit to help identify the hidden opportunities and threats that exist.
One great characteristic trait that successful business owners carry is they understand that they do not know everything and they cannot see everything. As a business owner, it is important to have someone that can help you, can see more than you, and specializes and is certified in the fundamentals of business. Your business may be struggling or be limited because of the problems that you have no idea exist.
One of my clients, Lisa, joined my coaching program because she was tired and overwhelmed. She was generating great revenue but her profit margin was very tight. In her eyes, she thought she just needed to get more customers and give her employees more tasks. After joining my program and doing her business audit, we found that as the CEO she was spending too much time working in her business instead of working on her business. Her hidden problem was her back-end office. She needed employees that would take the inside tasks off of her plate. She was solid with employees that were serving customers, but her area of struggle was inside. In order to remove her from working “in” her business instead of “on” her business, she needed an assistant, a salesperson, and an operations manager.
What hidden issues exist inside of your business that you are not aware of that are keeping your business in survival mode? The help that you hire should not be cheap, but the type of high-level help that will allow you to step out of your comfort zone and move your business forward.
